ADOM's probably my favourite roguelike, but I really enjoy the Shiren series for its aesthetics. There aren't a huge amount of games in the genre that aren't situated in generic Western medieval fantasy realms.

The Shiren series is pretty damn fine for console roguelikes.

Never enjoyed Torneko's stuff as much, even though it's practically the same. I've just never been huge into the DQverse.

Some of the articles are informative, in the sense that they really do contain the entire history of a series.

But some of the writing is just god-awful: opinionated tirades that don't actually tell you a damn thing about the topic at hand.

I'll get around to claiming that Shiren bounty one day, but.
