That RPG Maker shit isn't even the best Chrono game.

Sorry that we don't like cookie cutter JRPG's that could pass for RPG Maker projects. Cross easily surpasses Trigger, and any other JRPG on the SNES for that matter.

Wouldn't go that far, but it definitely EASILY surpasses Chrono Trigger, and just about any JRPG on the SNES for that matter, though, not that that bar is particularly high.

There are tons of excellent JRPG's to be found on the PlayStation, or, if 16-bit JRPG's are more you're steel, the Mega CD and PC Engine CD both have excellent ones to choose from.

We are finally beginning to recognize en masse that Trigger is massively surpassed by Cross, and I could not be more happy. Trigger was an "OK" game for something as limited and bottlenecked as the SNES, but Squaresoft's freedom on the PlayStation really allowed them to begin to shine and start producing excellent games.

Cross was just so much better, and I'm tired of pretending it wasn't. Yet another in a long line of games that proves that Squaresoft's JRPG output didn't really begin to shine until they moved to the PlayStation.
