Used to have a soulful old mom & pop video rental store in this podunk Midwestern town, but they closed down years ago (around 2012/2013 when the town got its first Redbox units and the Netflix faggotry was really starting to accelerate).

These days I like to torrent movies from the 80's-00's on my phone to cast to my Roku connected to my CRT and find a random game released around the same time to play on one of my Everdrives or modded consoles for the weekend to emulate the feeling of renting movies from there when I was a kid.

We actually still had a few video stores left in this state until late last year when COVID killed them off permanently, pretty sad. Pic-related. So now renting videos really is just a thing of the past.

Family Video had adult rooms for porn. I always thought it was the smaller rental shops that did stuff like this. I could be wrong, but I doubt Blockbuster would dabble into anything that taboo
