The Xbox version of Kazooie is worse since they made note collecting permanent, but Tooie on Xbox is mostly unchanged except for minor technical improvements. If you have both the Xbox Tooie is a little better.

I get what you mean, there's a child-like sense of adventure and wonder that BK has that makes me love it so much. It's the kind of thing that I think a lot of Nintendo game series like Mario and Kirby aim for but they almost always fall short.
