Otherwise, decent list.

>not even the most hardcore RE purist
....Ok guys, listen. RE is not a series that had ten thousand entries. There was 1 and its director cuts, 2, 3, and code veronica. The latter two had debatable quality even back in the late 90s. Not to mention the ever growing arsenal of "survival horror" titles that were truer to the phrase "survival" than RE was. I don't see how anybody who claims to like "classic" RE would even see REmake as a downgrade.
0 was mediocre at best though. More curious how the 64 version would have turned out.

>you got to blow shit away in classic RE
thank you, fellow skilled RE anon, you knew the true joy of how to properly play the game. I always wondered what people were talking about with "conserving" ammo being a part of RE's charm. For me, it was simply learning to duck and dodge till you got a powerful weapon and learning how to aim your headshots. I -never- had a problem with ammo near end-game, lord forbid you followed a guide, you'd make like Rambo.

I always found William to be the best, each transformation more extreme, especially just because he really gave that feel of
>WHEN WILL HE FUCKING DIE
RE6 attempted something similar, but to comical effects instead.

However, Mr. X's final (and only) transformation will always be my favorite.
