It's just a standard SCART European TV, he has his VGA converted to SCART. The TV itself is nothing special aside from its inputs.

Find more at his blog, ScartHunter is the keyword. He has some really nice shots of Street Fighter II played with the Groovy suite of tools, on a really high end SCART television.

Information is scattered widely on these fora. Here are monitor settings for SwitchRes that will be used by most of /vr/

pal PAL TV - 50 Hz/625 (undesirable)
ntsc NTSC TV - 60 Hz/525 (undesirable)
generic_15 Generic 15.7 kHz (all TVs)
arcade_15 Arcade 15.7 kHz - standard resolution (some TVs)
arcade_15ex Arcade 15.7-16.5 kHz - extended resolution (Sony TVs only according to Calamity)
