well, most of the ones I really like are pre-rendered, so they already look pretty good, or not (like vault 15 from fallout 1) and would be fairly boring to look at

the portal to the nihilanth from half-life 1 from teh top of my head

a year or two ago I played BG2 as a swashbuckler and it was surprisingly really fun to play and actually pretty good. I have like 5 swords in my inventory that I switch back and forth to, so I dunno what you're talking about.
