I'm about half way through the game and as it turns out, it doesn't surpass Megami Tensei 2 in any way...

except the story department. Bad guy destroyed the world and you get to experience the post apocalyptic version of the world you knew might just be a better plot twist than you were playing a DQ clone version of the first game all along!; if only I wasn't so used to that idea due to Final Fantasy VI stealing it.

I can't go over the fact that they were back to only having 3 demons in your party even though they had upgraded that to 4 in MT2 though

I am interested in playing some shin megami tensei or maybe persona. What is a good starting point.

Title. Pretty tired of people recommending obscure game #891 just because it was "okay" and they had already played through most of the western SNES releases and many of the popular SFC translations.

Remember that life is short, there are way too many games out there, and there comes a point where it's better to move on to a different console than keep playing games that would have sold like absolute shit/no one would care about had they been released in the West.

What would be the best version to emulate?

Should I just quit playing this and move on to smt2? I hear it's way better and I'm kind of losing interest quickly in the first. I've played IV and Nocturne and loved them so i wanted to start from the beginning. The rate that I run into a fight is so fucking high, though, I seriously just had a fight every step of the way out of a 4 block room.

I want this poster on my mancave. Goddamn I like it.
