YES op OMG YESSS! FINALLY someone talks about my favourite game EVER! it really sucks how final fantasy and chrono trigger get all the limelight when this absolute GEM of a game goes unnoticed.

i can't believe so many people are missing out on an rpg game where you can fight hippies (loL!) , eat hamburgers out of the trash (EPIC MUCH?), fight a pile of puke (gross/randomM!!!) and so much more instead of the usual boring sword and sorcery crap!

[spoilers]and just wait til you reach that final boss... that thing is seriously MESSED UP. i mean, just LOOK at this thing. how is this allowed in a kid' game? what was miyamoto THINKING? NIGHTMARE FUEL![/spoilers]

i urge you all - go buy this game RIGHT NOW! literally the best game ever, worth every penny

Was it ever actually confirmed that the red face in the background is supposed to be Giygas?

It may be a bit of a meme answer, but I was always blown away by the Giygas battle in Earthbound. I'm probably biased because it's the only JRPG I've ever beaten, but the mechanics and presentation of that battle always stuck with me. The music being rad as hell in the first phase certainly helped.

What classic RPGs will induce a lot of feels? Earthbound's final battle came close, but didn't really get much out of me.

No video games has made me cry to date, but so far I've mostly been a casul who's played FPSes.

What is your opinion about it ?
What is your favorite boss in the game ?
Do you think Giygas is really creepy ?

i finally managed to start playing earthbound ( mother 2). I read often its overrated but im in the second town now and i still have fun.

I heard you need to grind much but i passed through without grinding yet(maybe later).
The soundtrack is awesome and the story is pretty good too. The Fightsystem is kinda individual, the psychadelic background and the healthbars going down slowly gave me dat special feeling.
It is also cool if you think about RPGs back in the days, normally it was a sword and a princess, this game was really different from all that stuff.

People tend to say if you read to much about it before you play, you cant enjoy it. But im enjoying it to the fullest after reading the shit out of /vr/ and im glad i see it all myself now. Also i recommend it to you if you have ever thought about trying this game.
