The hardest part of getting into Tomb Raider for me was un-learning Mario 64. If you try to play it like that (and I did) you're gonna have a bad time (like I did). It's a good game if you're able and willing to adapt to its playstyle. I won't defend the combat though, that is all around terrible and the game would be better as a pure puzzle platformer, but I guess a game with no combat whatsoever would've been harder to market, and Lara looks cool as hell holding two guns in promo stills so I guess she needed to have something to shoot in game.
