Dear /vr/,

i'm rather new to this board so sorry if i say something heinously stupid.
I have this gargantuan Sony Trinitron television that i might want to get rid of thanks to size. But i heard they were sought after because they work well with older consoles.
But my kv-c(or g? i can't read it very well) 2969d Sony Trinitron had some wack ass soundquirks. When the majority of the screen is white, it will have this stronger very high pitched tv ringing than normal. The best thing however, is that it seems to, wholly random, max the fucking volume to 11, holy shit.

Since i live with other people in the house, this is very very annoying. Anyone has any idea what causes this? If this model in particular is worth saving? Where i would go about gettting it fixed?
