Honestly, I'd rather just play on my GBA-SP/iQue AGS-101, using my old Flashcart and Goomba Color. Does everything you would expect and avoids the cartridge sticking out, which would be a deal breaker for me.

That clicky D-Pad simply can't be beat, hggggnnnnnn

Would also love to Have one of those Dingoos (A320, I think?) because they have a nice form factor and decent SNES emulation, but they are expensive now.
