Why? I mean I liked it but... favourite?

I played it and I like it a lot for what it is. It's a neat simple adventure-RPG hybrid. I believe it's one of those FDS games they co-published with other publishers to make a unitied front, venture which ended up being a failure.

But yes, this is pre-Nasir Square and it shows.

and oh, in my count, I included FDS games, which you didn't ("1050 Famicom games" does not include FDS games). There were quite a few FDS RPGs

My count also includes any type of turned based RPG, like pic related, which is adventure-RPG hybrid on FDS

Picrel and Powerslave take place entirely in Egypt

There is also The Curse of Cleopatra which, despite not being a dungeon crawler per se, does have RPG elements and first person dungeons

A somewhat short adventure/RPG by Square, one of the last games they made before Nasir joined them and they made Final Fantasy. Very simple both in terms of adventure and RPG elements although there had to be one clue-less item puzzle required to progress.
Still managed to grab my attention, nice graphics. A bit grindy.

Just this year I have beaten about 28 of those. That's only counting classic turned based ones, if we include A-RPGs or other hybrid genres (adventure + rpg (pic related), card + rpg, etc) you can count +20. And I'm not finished, since I broke my right hand + I have time, I'm sticking to turned based stuff I can play one handed. Currently playing a hybrid fishing-RPG Legend of the River King on NES

Fuck your Super Mario and Donkey Kong though
