It's very likely that we've had videogames since before the time of ancient Egypt, maybe from the very beginning when dinosaur scientists first elevated our primate ancestors to consciousness on their moon base. It would be kind of weird to have antigravity chariots but not videogames, right?
Then again, they had millions of years to perfect games as an art-form, so maybe there'd be no need for nostalgia, and that's merely a feature of our feeble reinvention of the medium and incomplete, childlike civilisation.
