I managed to get a 1999 cover disk image working on Win7 and installed the demo of Thief. I'm trying to play in software mode but I'm just getting a black screen that hangs. I've tried 95 and 98 compatibility modes.

I found a 1999 PCGamer cover disc with the original Thief 1 demo on it. There was an archive and I was able to download a disc image. Any suggestions on how I could mount the image? Which program should I use? It's a disc image from 1999 CD so Daemon Tools is not recognizing it as valid.

I found the PCGamer one, March 1999, but it's not the disc I had. I must have had a disc from a different magazine. The demo must be the same though.
