Why not discussing calculators? Some of them can run games and they have buttons, which is clearly enough to fully consider them as handhelds.
What about smartwatches? They can literally run emulators and you bring them around. Clearly, a watch is a portable console.
Hell, even a laptop can be considered a handheld. I can hold it in my hands and emulate shit on it.

Fuck dedicated handheld consoles, why mentioning them at all? We should fully switch to calculator/smartwatch/laptop discussion.
