I can definitely see areas that Could Be dungeons. But we can't entirely tell whether the locations would be more like their final game counterparts (in which case many of the black circles wouldn't be dungeons) or whether they could have initially been planned as more. The Ice Rod location in lightworld has ALWAYS been weird and fishy, like it was meant to be something more. It's a required item to beat the game (Trinexx) but yet its found out in the overworld.
