/vr/ - Retro Games

It's fairly good, but I prefer the EverDriveN8 which is around the same price. I like being able to use SD cards instead of CF ones. They both have advantages and disadvantages. I know the PowerPak has problems with some RGB modded NES's but that is fixable by replacing a common chip on the NES.

I can honestly say that I don't see any difference between this and the original cart, at all.

You have to be beyond stupid to not be able to navigate the menu with ease, with games being grouped by letter.

So far I ran into one rom which wont play on this but plays on SNES9x (abadox). I'm pretty sure this can be fixed with a better rom? Not that I want to play Abadox, it was just the first game I happen to test, also the only one that happen to not work.

Translated Jap games work great and so do fan hacks (like zelda outlands or zelda "cute" version)

Does anyone have the Everdrive n8 or the Powerpak? I'm strongly considering purchasing it. There are many games that I would like to play through my NES but price/availability is a major deterrent (Gun Nac, MetalStorm, Zombie Nation, etc) as well as my desire to play some of the rom hacks (Zelda Outlands, Megaman Infinite)

I want to know how easy it was to use, what issues I should know about, etc
