After chasing Kihachi to the summit he goes and hands over the mirror to Raijin and Fuujin. Then I'm sent on a rather annoying fetch-quest of sorts: I consult the head priest who tells me to go see the old man Sanpe, and then Sanpe tells me to meet the owl Gorosuke. I meet with the creepy looking bird and he gives me an item to use at a special gate that will lead the way to the castle in the heavens.

The game actually has an option to speed itself up, so that made walking around so much a lot easier. Unfortunately it speeds up the enemies in encounters too, but if you're familiar with their patterns (or don't mind brute-forcing your way through) it isn't too difficult.

I climb the castle (it's a bit of a maze, but I actually found the correct route on my first try completely by accident... it wasn't so easy trying to remember it the second time though) and find that Raijin and Fuujin were possessed. They apologize and I meet the Starry's mother the Queen, who tells me all about the monster Gira Sozan that the mirror will release.

So yeah, I go fight him and he completely demolishes me in his second form. His first form is quite annoying as he floats around, throwing projectiles in 8 directions and regularly stopping time so you can't avoid him crashing into you. Then comes his second form, where he either throws a big red energy wave at you when you stand beneath him or fills the screen with almost unavoidable lightning if you stand anywhere else.

The rematch goes much more smoothly after turning the speed back down and spamming my barrier ESP move, which makes me completely invulnerable for a pretty small energy cost.
