Only game I've seen with rot is the GCN copy of Metal Gear Solid, which people have told me isn't rot, just a label issue. The disc still reads fine, but I'd rather not put it in a Wii because that drive will rub on the label. I'm told this is an issue with all GCN copies of this game and they call it Snake Skin on ebay.

I just decided to go check my MGS TS copy for disc and found this.

It's been stored in a basement with a dehumidifier in Nebraska for ten years. There's no chance it's been water damaged. All of my other GCN discs are in perfect condition. This copy of MGS was bought on day 1, it looks like the original print run of MGS TS is defective. This kind of rot can happen if there was humidity caught in the manufacturing process.
