I'm not familiar with the CD platform, but here are some for AES/MVS. Most of the best games are well-known, and the platform as a whole has very few poor titles.

>Misc:
Magician Lord
Spinmaster
Top Hunter
Sengoku 3
Twinkle Star Sprites
Money Puzzle Idol Exchanger
Magical Drop 2&3

>Run 'n' Guns:
'Nam '75
Cyber Lip
Shock Troopers

>Sports:
Windjammers
Neo Turf Masters

>Shmups:
Last Resort
Viewpoint
Pulstar/Blazstar
Aero Fighters 2/3

>Homebrew:
Gunlord
Last Hope

I'm not crazy about "Aggressors of Dark Kombat" but it's interesting; it combines fightan' and beat-em-up elements. The first two Sengoku games are pretty mediocre but the third is rad as hell and one of the very best in the genre.

Are you sure you have no interest in fightan' games? I didn't either actually until I started digging into this system's library; the Neo has many of the very best in the genre, and they can play totally different.
