Is that not what everyone does with old hardware? Anyway, OP should enjoy his pc. Be sure the clean it first, and get good airflow going. Also replace thermal paste. Using retroarch with run ahead is fantastic, and as long as it is set to run og refresh rates then this pc will be fine to run all of those classic games. Check out Shmup Arch which is just a version of retroarch with settings already for various shmup games to run their best. And a better looking interface out of the box imo.
