As a kid I remember believing we could go out of bounds in almost any game and explore houses and forests and find all kinds of crazy stuff because the detail looked so realistic (referring to SNES and N64/PS1 games lol).

I was stuck at Web Woods in DKC2 for a couple months and had dreams where the level after it was full of all kinds of crazy shit because it was so difficult and only a hand full of people would ever beat it.

I did participate in some vidya drawing contest, once. I did my best by drawing some radically awesome mega drawing about my favorite vidya characters having a grand adventure together, but then some shitty fingerpaint tier art drawn by some retarded 6 year old won the damn contest. That was the moment when my childhood ended and I realized it was all politics, actual skill and talent had no place in this world.
Picture kinda related, it's not the contest I participated in but the drawings are pretty close to the one that won. Fuck, my drawing didn't even get featured on the fucking magazine.
I think I was about 8 or 9 years old. My main hobby was drawing (and still is), I used more time on my drawings than on video games so I was pretty talented considered how young I was.
