I love how clicky and short the travel distance is on both the face buttons and d-pad, reminds me of how amazing the og phat NDS face buttons and d-pad were.

The way this baby just clicks into all eight direction with practically no travel makes it perfect for precision-based left/right/up/down inputs in puzzle and rhythm games, flawless directional executions for shooters and fighters, and is viable enough to be used for pseudo-analog control for 3D game like for the DS and PS1 which are designed for a d-pad. Even with SM64 DS's ahead-of-its-time touch screen controls, the original phat DS's d-pad is still infinitely superior.
Please keep in mind I am talking about the original DS's d-pad, not the god awful ducking DSlite/DSi/etc d-pad.

>Nintendo of America literally changed the red and black DS's colours for North America because it was officially the "Virtual Boy Anniversary" edition colours and NoA wanted absolutely no one to remember the Virtual Boy was ever a thing. The silver bottom NA got doesn't even make sense or look good in any way.
