I have only ever played the NES Monopoly and Windows 3.1 Monopoly Deluxe. hey both provide me with a Monopoly fix with their dumb AI making me feel like I was smart or able to beat anyone at the flawed game. The main problem is the flawed game design and rules of the game itself which devolves into the deals made as chances are more likely that one cannot naturally land on all the similarly grouped set of spaces quickly from the onset. I am curious to know what is the best computerized equivalent tho.

I don't have much, because my system died on me when I was young. I get so jealous seeing everyone have so many great NES games. The pic I took here is missing a few more like Contra, Chip& Dale, Ducktales, the Zeldas, Gradius, and a few others, primarily because I still have them in their original boxes.

I have been desiring the Analog NT for its ability to output analog RGB and ability to load other 8-bit cores. Its ability to play some GameGear, Master System, GameBoy. GameBoy Color, etc. would be great for me too I just cannot afford its $600USD asking price. Even an NES with a RGB or HDMI mod is $400USD. So I am just stuck with my games and no system to play them on. I really do miss my NES.

It is sad I keep these pieces of plastic around, as I just emulate to recapture playing the games. I just cannot bear to sell these to my local Funko Pop! store for $2 each, and they were a big part of my youth. The sentimental value alone has me keeping the games without a system to play them on.

I am envious. Mine died and I have been wanting a replacement, but all the local Funco Pop! stores around here that has it in stock asks at least $100USD for a piss yellowed frontloader ($130 for a scratched up filthy toploader) more for slightly better condition. I hung on to most my NES games, and have no heart to let go of the games for $5 or less each. I am seriously considering an Analog NT Mini if I can ever earn enough to get one since it offers more features and the NES is already a luxury item here. The condition and price of your NES is a myth around me.

I guess the fear of poor Chinese quality stuff did get to me. Over a year ago, I had someone recap my TurboDuo and TurboExpress and then three months ago the Duo exhibits sound failures. I opened it up to see the capacitors were the cheap Chinese type. I am grateful that the bleeding (leaking capacitor) stopped for now to cause no more damage. However now I will have to save up a lot to get a proper RGB and capacitor replacement for the 3 systems. Someone I know just got his Duo-R repaired from a trusted modder being done correctly, however I feel I will not have the same luck as the trusted persons rarely ever have the time to do proper repairs. So I am once again sitting on a timebomb of consoles I love, knowing cheap Chinese parts are the culprit of my dismay. I have no idea how I can save up $400+ at my pay grade.

I miss my NES. Around my area, a yellowed frontloader goes for $90USD and toploaders go for $200USD at my local Funko Pop! stores. I want that Analog NT mini, but those go for $600USD. I am only partially interested in the RetroUSB AVS, but its lack of analog output means I cannot use it. I just cannot bring myself to get rid of my youth at this time even with a Chinese Everdrive N8.

I don't even get change to collect, the burger flippers don't get tips, servers do. I just have to ration out my direct deposited $440 every two weeks really well. My PCE repairs will have to take precedence, but maybe if that Everdrive GB X goes for cheap next Black Friday, I may have to jump on that first.

That's now my original NES died. I think you are right. I will probably have to rely on my Israeli power sources if I ever get a new NES or afford one of those newfandangled FPGA NES systems.

I had a NES in those days.

I remember seeing a commercial that said "wait until Phantasy Star comes out" and I never played it until a classmate lent me the Power Base Converter with the game. The game was as good as the commercial made it out to be. I have since played and enjoyed 4/End of the Millennium and Online.

My first interaction with the Master System (aside from seeing it in Toys R' Us) in actually playing one was at a friend of cousin's. I was jealous they got a more accurate to arcade port of Double Dragon than the one I had for NES. The did lend me the original Megaman for NES, which started my love for the series, and I eventually invited them to my place because people who loved video games back then were not as common. Those assholes stole some of my NES games, and my cousin was only able to recover one game for me. Basically Master System owners back then were little shits who wanted NES games.

I got a video game magazine from Kohls which turned out to be the first issue of EGM. It had Megaman 2 on the cover, and after the fun times I had with the first game, I had to get the 2nd when it came out. In that magazine, I saw a game called Mystic Defender which looked great in screenshots. Also had an image of some rad demon basketball game for the Master System. Now that I finally got a flash cart for the Genesis, I think I can try some Master System games for myself.
