Xbox 480i RGB is really good on Version 1.6 consoles and looks pretty terrible on all the others. Component video, including 480p, looks best on everything but 1.6 consoles. It's linked to the video encoder, so I wonder if a proper BIOS modification can enable 480p RGB on 1.6 consoles. After that it's a matter of patching the handful of Sega games with issues and you've got an all-in-one Xbox.
Gamecube I recall uses different color space settings for different games and is more of an issue when doing video capture. Aside from that, getting the right video output is tricky. I don't think PAL consoles can do 480p at all, but you can run PAL games on a modified US console and force the game to 480p at 60 Hz. A valid use case for this is the PAL version of RE4; it has gameplay balance chances that became the basis for the PS2 and later versions but preserves the visual design of the original Gamecube version. GCHD Mk-II will do the trick and get you 240p/480i/480p on an appropriate RGB cable.

Thanks for the info. That means the Titler is a fancy collector's item after all. I don't think all Genesis games are so ugly that composite helps them. Typically arcade ports look solid in RGB. Sonic 1 definitely uses artifacting to its advantage but none of them after that do as far as I can recall.
