How do you enjoy long games, /vr/?

I mostly mean things like jRPGs that last 50+ hours. I just can't get into a game for that long and I usually just give up at these games, even though I'm enamored with them the first 10-20 hours. I haven't played a single game where I thought "well, that could have been much longer", I'm usually either satisfied or think it got drawn out way too long.

Is it about making a habit of playing? Am I just doomed to drop RPGs because of my attention span? I really wish I could finish them.
