I know it's not retro but you guys are actively discussing Castlevania so fuck it. I really enjoyed Castlevania HD on 360 a couple years back. I thought I'd wait to see if they would ever do a disc-based release including all content, and maybe chance in hell of a Steam release. It's clear that's never gonna happen now, especially with the Konami of today.

So I don't really turn on my 360 much anymore, but that's where I bought the base game. I am super interested in the DLC, but you might know it's a super jew fest costing like $40 some extra dollars. At this point, I might cave and just do it because I like the game and it's clear it's not coming out elsewhere.

The only thing is I also have a PS3. Paying for multiplayer for Xbox Live Gold has always been a shitty move and I never intend to sub again. The PS3 port of C:HD has local multiplayer though, whereas the Xbox doesn't. However, the local multiplayer is apparently a kinda lame forced zoom out mode, and what's more is that apparently the PS3 port is riddled with bugs and framerate problems.

tldr: $40 bucks in DLC to play single player on Xbox or spring for the PS3 version to play multiplayer?
