I disagree, having confidence as to why I like or dislike something doesn't mean I can't recognize it's shortcomings or how others might feel about it, the way their views and expectations do differ from my own and where they are the same. I'm not sure if that original post is you, but using it for a few examples and explanations, to see if this helps get my overall point across better:

>I liked it for what it was.
This merely states that, while I realize the few or many shortcomings something had, it wasn't all that bad to the point of ruining my experience and my overall feeling is still of enjoyment.

>Surprisingly decent.
It means that, for whatever personal bias I may have, I had expectations for a video game to not be very good, and it was better than I expected, it's just a compliment under this kind of context.

>No business being as good as it is.
Again, this just means something might've really surprised me because, under the context of it's development, it normally would've turned out to be bad, but it somehow pulled through that too.

>Guilty pleasure.
I recognize something is subpar for most people and normally might've been for me too, but for a reason or two it ticks boxes that make it special enough for me to consider it a pleasure of mine.

>Fuck you I liked it.
Most people dislike it and constantly say a ton of bad things about this video game, but despite all of that I personally and subjectively liked it and I disagree with the overall feelings most have of it.
