/vr/ - Retro Games

Hey /vr/, figured this might be the best place to ask...i tried /v/ but it's a little old for them, i imagine

I'm trying to remember a game that i played waaay back when i was young, about mid/late 90s, on the sega genesis.

it was a platformer and you played as some kind of skeleton-esque/hell/revenant man and im pretty sure he had a big hat, like a bounty hunters hat or a big flat brim sombrero style thing (but not so mexican) and a duster coat

the soundtrack was very "16 bit heavy metal" sounding, and the enemies were traditional evil creatures like demons and devils and whatever. the backgrounds for the levels was just a flat scrolling texture, as far as i an recall. i cant remember the weapons you used, i want to say a whip but i'm possibly confusing that with castlevania

I cant remember the name of this game for the life of me and i really hope someone else can help
