You might not consider it a bad thing, but many people do.
It may not have any filters or anything applied, but the simple sharpness and resolution of the screen make it look like you tossed the most basic of scanline filters on it and called it a day.

I will say that some of the photos I've seen of people doing low resolutions on PC monitors do look pretty damn good, but they're usually taken at a distance. When you zoom in and the aliasing ramps up, it starts to go down hill.

I realize that, and he's free to play his games however he wishes. I was just trying to clarify one of the things the other anon was getting at.

This didn't come out as well as I'd have liked, but the full screen one I took for the Halloween OP wouldn't work as well for a comparison.
