There's a good bet he's just trolling and parroting common Fez hate. That's what about 95% of the response for it was like on most forums. Phil Fish really didn't help matters in being really annoying even by comparison to other French Canadians. But I loved it.

Also many people thought it was supposed to be a platformer or action game like Cave Story and compare it to those when it's really a puzzle game.
