Vita has a much nicer screen on both models, and better buttons. No ghosting is a good enough reason for me personally.

Hori sells an affordable joycon with a d-pad. It's not wireless, but if you're docked you're gonna use a proper controller anyway. Might be worth looking into if not having a d-pad is a big issue for you in general use.
