despite everything, i can say that a lot of their post-bankruptcy output was great and surpassed 98 in gameplay. 02um and XIII were absolutely worth it, maybe include XI and 98um for good measure too. XIV wasn't bad. the worst was Maximum Impact series and 2001.
however, when it comes to art, design and atmosphere… hard to say. it's a combination of many things. just going more current year anime style with more waifus; losing Shinkiro (see pic); not having same level of artistry in backgrounds; etc. music stayed good though.
