Skies of Arcadia
All the magazines and demo discs of the time played up how it was going to be the best JRPG ever, and then it actually delivered on that promise- hundreds of JRPGs later the only one I'd even compare with the experience is Grandia, but I can't bring myself to replace Skies as my favorite
