If I could only have 1 N64 game forever it would be Super Mario 64. It's already one of the most replayable games ever, it's already literally 3D Super Mario Bros. in terms of appeal and simplicity and momentum and excellence in control

I like Ocarina the most of any Zelda game. Not really sure why honestly. I guess I'd describe it as 'familiar' and 'comfortable' and 'with no major flaws'. Every other 3D Zelda has some kind of major flaw (or is a prototype for a sequel, BotW) or is Majora's Mask which I find kind of stressful to play. Ocarina is the game I play when I just want to relax and play a Zelda game. It just feels well designed and breezy to play. Majora may be the better game in many ways, but I think I'll always prefer Ocarina. LttP never really clicked for me
It's not even a nostalgia thing really, I played it a little as a kid but I didn't get into it until I played through it on GameCube as a teenager.

This kind of feels like it came from the game OoT was a sequel to in the timeline where Zelda 64 was a launch title

>i used to think the screenshots were from a graveyard of sorts
there's another one with a graveyard
but with that path, very similar to the images here >>6667764

and a skybox with a moon at a position that makes me think it's the hyrule field realtime moving one (i don't think it's ever this low on any maps where time isn't passing - as in the final graveard)
It makes me wonder if it just wasn't seperated and the graveyard was also on hyrule field at that point.

how much would you pay for a beta Zelda 64?

Early graveyard, and an early Poe

I liked this design better, it looked more ghostly, but that's just me

actually scratch that, it's hard to tell from this screenshot if the graveyard is bigger, but it is creepier in my opinion.

On the flipside, I'd rather have what we got rather than have big open spaces like in the forest screenshot and have invisible walls.

One thing I liked about OOT is that there are virtually no invisible walls, and they really do bug me.
