Very cool, but not definitive by a long shot. I prefer treating it as a standalone thing, even if I love some elements from it a lot.

Talking to the other members in HQ is nice, even though there are some oddities here and there. Expanded cutscenes and lines that characters got against some of the enemies or in battle intros are nice.
Battle sprites are very good, especially since everyone isn't just a colorswap anymore. Oh, and alt costumes for the girls are also got them now.
New storyline with Narsha and new characters are great.
Musashi and Hanzou got classes to be promoted to.
New Game+ with increase of the difficulty is neat.

New characters are broken as fuck, except for the coolest one (who is a rip-off from FEDA anyway)

Promotion gimps magic-users hard now
Musashi and Hanzou promotions might be too weeb and not as cool, depending on your tastes.
Game didn't really account for any of the sequels and some of the other side materials existing, so there might be some oddities and/or questionable decisions if you're into SF lore.

I haven't tried Saturn emulation since 2013, I have vivid memories of endless errors, sluggish, unresponsive gameplay, and general fuckery.

Then after slugging through all that, my save file got corrupted halfway through Scn2. I gave up.
