The current vanilla limits func jam. The goal is to keep average r_speeds measurements of visible worldpolys at around 350 with an upper limit of 600, like most of the id1 maps, along with a bunch of other limitations that'll hamstring if you're used to modern aesthetics and no limitations. I unfortunately blew past that in a couple areas but will hopefully get it down to 'around 600' levels like E1M8 and a few other maps after some tweaking. Really fun to work around so far but boy is it a harsh limit when you actually start expanding stuff and makes me respect what id did with the vanilla maps even more.
