The Space Harrier port actually ran pretty well. It's unplayable because of the B&W graphics but it was a technical achievement at least.

There are very few decent Spectrum games. The market didn't reward quality (low prices & low sales meant that everything was basically a budget title) and British developers other than Ultimate had no idea what a good video game looked like. The ones I though were at least a 4/10:

>Lunar Jetman
>Sabre Wulf
>Jetpak
>Rex
>M.A.S.K 3
>Quazatron
>Deflektor
>The Sentinel
>The Great Escape
>Highway Encounter
>Rebelstar
>Tau Ceti
>Wheelie
>Sergent Seymour Robotcop
>Astroball

it's not a mark on the Spectrum that it turned out like this, since in terms of the time frame it's like porting a 2007 game to the N64. but it is... notable

It was the world's cheapest color computer and its install base was so large that you pretty much had to port games to it.
