So I just finished it. Honestly it kinda sucked. The graphics were nice aside from the FMVs but the gameplay was clunky, especially the combat. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Shame because I've had it on backlog for years and only got around to it since I found a good copy for cheap.

The main point is Nintendo would rather you spend $60 (plus tip for DLC) on Ultimate rather than $20 on Melee. There's a few other factors here too
>GC has a pretty low install base, bearing in mind a lot of people have GCs gathering dust these days (Note: I know Wii sales are through the roof but not all of them are back compat, and less people will actually own GC controllers to use on them)
>Given GC discs are propriety they'd need to open a facility to specifically manufacture them, which may not be worth it on a small scale
>They may not even have the source code anymore (can someone confirm or deny?)
>Retailers may not want to dedicate shelf space to niche old games (granted online stores like Amazon and the posibility of Nintendo just selling them directly would make this moot)
Personally I'd love this to happen, I remember being a kid too stupid to shop online and spent about half a fucking year looking for a copy of Croc 2 and just wished I could send money to the publishers directly for it. The sad truth however is if Nintendo wanted to do this they would've done it years ago (probably when the Wii U was bombing for some good favour). It's just not in their interests, even the Virtual Console got killed for subscription based GAAS cancer.

Abe's Oddysee is in my top 5 but I can see why some people wouldn't like it. Tomb Raider is a favourite of mine but it's hard to play if you're used to modern stuff and never touched it, and while I like Crash Bash it's purely nostalgia. Hating Tomba after 5 minutes however is a sign of terminally shit taste, if nothing else it's charming as all hell, I'd implore you to give it a try until you get past the Dwarf Village at the very least if you didn't already.

I used to have this beastly 40 inch crt my dad didn't want after getting a flat screen around the mid 2000s. It eventually shit itself a day before I had to move and so I left it in the trash room of my old apt complex. I regret it everyday as I could've fixed it but good lord that mother fucker was beyond heavy it took 4 people to get it out of the place. It was weirdly shaped and heavy as all conceivable hell.
