I didn't even watch the 'reality' version of episode 1. Dream version was just too amazing. By far my favorite introductory episode. And yeah, S2 was quite a letdown but it was worth it for three things:
1. It did have better action scenes than S1
2. We got to see Utuu's face
3. Episode 7 was really neat
