When my curiosity peaks. This usually happens when the gameplay is solid and the premise provides a really cool set-up, so I'm dying to know what's going to happen next in terms of new challenges to face and areas to explore.

Goddamn son- you got the right combo. Although, I would have to say that those two wouldn't be the same without the context of the other games in the series. It is the establishment of the series created by the first zelda, LTTP, OoT that gives Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening their tier. I will no iterate further on what has been mentioned by others in the thread except for they also present interesting themes and more personal immersion

These. First time through I was stuck for a month because Zelda 1 and the Oracles conditioned me to believe that the first room never has anything of significance, even though there was a key on top of the tree.

What's cool about the Oracle games is that if you get the true ending by linking the two and beating Ganon, you see Link heading out to sea on the boat from the beginning cut-scene of Link's Awakening

>Early childhood play original LOZ and Oracle of Seasons
>Play OOT in late childhood
>Get to Forest Temple
>Don't bother exploring the first room, since it never has anything of interest in the aforementioned Zeldas
>Don't know about the key on top of the tree
>Spend a month trying to activate eye-switches with my hookshot
