Was Chun-li the first playable female video game character to make the concept of a main leading lady mainstream and acceptable? I cannot think of anyone as significant before her, there was Samus, but Samus was a bait and trick at the end. Was there anyone else in retro history that pulled it off quite like her? She's iconic 30 years later.
