I'm guess I'm kinda cheating a bit, since it's from a recent remake, but the artist who did the cutscene art for Double Dragon on iOS/Android really made her pretty lovely, although I always did liked her in the old games, especially in the second NES one. Underrated damsel-in-distress in my opinion.

>Double Dragon Advance is the best one, prove me wrong, protip you can't.
Can't argue with you.
>The smart phone version would be close if not for touch screen controls, did it ever get ported to a proper gaming device?
Nope. Such a shame too, cause I like the art style. There's a Zeebo version, but it has slightly different stages and enemies.
>Neon is cute but doesn't hold up.
This. I tried to be open-minded about it and it's not like Neon is without its merits (it's certainly better than Wanders of the Dragons), but the goofiness and ironic humor just takes me off the game. Also not a fan of the grind2win system.
>The /vr/ ones are oddly hit and miss, I hate to say "aged badly" but the original is kinda the poster child for that term.
I think the AC version of Double Dragon II holds up a lot better, but I always been more partial towards the NES versions, even the first one. The PC Engine version of II is pretty rad too.
