When people say turn based JRPG combat sucks what are they comparing it to? Surely it can't be RTwP, dogshit right? Shit is literally unplayable and makes you want to avoid combat as much as possible. Turn based is simplistic but perfectly playable and gets the job done just fine. It only sucks compared to action RPGs.
