Hidden Palace released a prototype of Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast. It's in English and has a lot of differences compared to the final version.

Anyone on here play PSO in >current year?

Current mainstream server selection breakdown:

>Ultima
https://www.phantasystaronline.net

>Ephinia
https://ephinea.pioneer2.net

Both require a custom client download. I believe Sylverant (https://sylverant.net) is the only server that lets you connect to it using a normal one.

Both have some changes from vanilla, but they're basically all a net good and only make the game cozier.

This will always be the right answer. Anyone that says differently has a psychological disorder.

I wouldn't mind helping all of you to get into Ultimate, you can get on there in one or two days if you kill the Dragon for ten hours non stop

Do any of you guys feel nostalgic enough towards Phantasy Star Online to want to come play? Remember the thrill of hunting through the same map over and over for that precious red box? We recently started a small little group of players and already have over 50 people, some of which are already into the Ultimate level.

The people over at Ephinea made their server after SCHThack went under and had to admit to losing every player's data. Not only that, but the administration of SCHThack was incompetent - we figured out ways to powerlevel to ultimate in an hour and cheat through challenge mode. Despite suspicious activity, we were never banned. Ephinea is a lot more like the original, live server and has a ton of quality of life improvements, such as PSO2 style drops and allowing you to change your section ID before level 20. The client is only 500mb and in the launcher are also custom options, such as upscaling the game to larger resolutions.

Check out Ephinea over at http://ephinea.pioneer2.net/

You can play Phantasy Star Online, I have fond memories of that game. I would even go so far as to say its one of my personal favorite games. Not because its a particularly fantastic game, but because of the memories I have with it.

You'd be right if that wasn't literally the purpose of katakana, translating Latin characters into Japanese, or to be more precise, the pronunciation itself. Transliteration, I believe it's called. Pic for reference, if I can't make this any clearer.

it's probably one of the rare cases of a series doing something drastically different and succeeding at it. PSO PSO2 are both held in high regard.
