my dsi LL were both white japan models
one i gave to my nephew (obv doesn't know japanese bc hes 5)
the other i gave to my grandma shes 75
doesnt know japanese

i dont remember specifically
but the homescreen icons you install show whatever faggy name the rom is so unless you're installing weeb roms that arent in english its fine
if you need to dick around in settings or something you might have some problems

but desu it might change language depending on what method you use to do the sd stuff
look into it yourself mines already done and i no longer even have the pc i used to do it originally
(its been nearly a decade)
