I have a small collection of them. Megadrive runs at fullspeed even on the ancient GP32, and SNES at full speed on every system afterwards. The most recent one I picked up is a JXD S5800, which is Android based. It plays everything perfectly up to 4th gen, and a few N64 games are playable with tweaks. I can't discern any input lag but I don't play fighting games.

I currently use my phone with a controller as my primary on-the-go emulator system. It's excessively powerful and the screen is brilliant. But if I were to buy a new system, it would be the GPD XD, every review I've read has been great, and I'm already familiar with the Android emulation scene, which is also great.
