It's tiny. What sandbox adventure world maps are comparable in size to real life locations? Bigger, the better.

You may have that impression because the world, being smaller than in aLttP, forces you to cross portions of the map already discovered. But it is a good exploration game in name only.

Fug, all great maps, although I would say that OP is correct. The amount of really noticeable detail as well as memorable design elements really makes ALttP's map stand out. I've always really loved it, and the Dark World, too.

While I like LoZ's map, it's a pain to traverse from one corner to the other until about mid-game ish. It's also a little bland. I'm contributing another god-tier map, complete with god-tier OST.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. I expect maybe a final variant of every race that already exists, and a new boss, of course. I would be blown away if they added more enemy types, honestly. The two that I feel are sorely missing are Skulltulas (which I feel would be very interesting with BotW's combat) and Darknuts, though I can't really see where you would put Darknuts other than in Hyrule Castle and maybe the DLC dungeon.

Today I just see the 2D Zelda games as this grid meant to test your memory and spacial awareness.
As a kid I imagined there was so much more to the world and the quests were significant and meaningful.
