I will just say, that the Sega Saturn Tomb Raider was the first Tomb Raider game that I ever played. To be honest, I was blown away by how good this game looked on the Saturn hardware. I still think it is the best looking 3D platformer on the Saturn, which is a dissapointing thing to say, given how few 3D platformers the system had. Chunkier than the PS1 game. But, I could play it all the way to the end. I loved the game.

Tomb Raider 2 probably would have happened for the Saturn, but Sony money hatted Core for console exclusitivity. Sony actually featured Lara Croft in their adverting, too:
